2015-2016 Events

TECS Summer Camp- June 2016
Students, ages 14-18, in the southwestern region of the United States who are interested in technology, engineering or computer science are invited to come to Southern Utah University for the Technology, Engineering and Computer Science (TECS) Summer Camp. Students experience "college life" by staying on campus and learning through hands-on experiences from professors and professionals in the field of their choice. Half tuition scholarships are available. For more information click here.

Iron County Sheriff's Junior Academy
The Iron County Sheriff's Junior Academy will be held June 6-24. This class is an intensive three-week program that gives students an inside look into law enforcement. For more information pick up a flier in the counseling center.

Summer Tennis Camp
A boys and girls summer tennis camp will be held June 6 - July 14 (six weeks) Monday-Thursday at the SUU tennis courts. Daily camp instruction will emphasize the technical aspects of ground-strokes, volleys, overheads, serves, footwork fundamentals and match tactics. Prizes will be awarded at some competitive games. All participants will receive a camp t-shirt.
Ages 14-18 from 7:30-9:00 am
Ages 11-14 from 9:30-10:30 am
Adults and high school players Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm

Private and semi-private instructions is available for all ages. Contact Coach Harris for more details.

Debate at U of U

CHS Qualified 2 Teams for the Utah tournament of Excellence at U of U this past weekend. This tournament took the top placing teams from state tournaments in 1A through 5A schools. Each round had two judges and final rounds had three

Chris hodsworth and scot bostick SWEPT the tournament. Winning the decision from every single one of the judges they saw, including a 3-0 win against the 5A State champions in the final round. Congratulat them on them on their hard work. This is a HUGE win for htese students.
